Choosing a Tablet Enclosure

An imageHOLDERS tablet kiosk or iPad enclosure is a secure and stylish enclosure which can display a tablet or iPad. We can also securely enclose an OEM device such as a NFC reader which turns the tablet enclosure in a payment terminal. For more information about the different devices which we can securely integrate click here.

A bezel is the material which covers the front of the tablet. This can allow or prevent access to the tablet’s functions such as the camera and the home bar, depending on your specifications.

Our standard off the shelf designs include:

  • Our Core range is our most cost-effective solution with a tamper proof security rating. Suitable for back of house or low traffic environments.
  • Our Expo range is flexible and robust, suitable for demanding environments with a fully secure security rating.
  • Our Slimline range is our slimmest design, fitting flush to wall or glass with our highest security rating, rugged secure.
  • Our Shell range is rated as our most secure enclosure, suitable for high traffic environments, with a sleek design

Our enclosures which are highly tailorable and fit tablets and devices include:

For a full list of the tablets which we can securely enclose please see our supported tablet and iPad reference page. If your tablet is not listed, we can create a new tray and bezel which will hold and display your tablet device, but this can require you sending a sample of the tablet to be sent to us to be measured up.

Tablet Enclosure Installation

Yes! We can brand any enclosure bezel to fit with your brand. Whether that’s through custom colouring, or by creating a branded bezel. We can create a solution to fit your needs.
We offer three different types of branding:

  • Direct to media, which is a permanent solution and cannot be removed
  • Vinyl which is semi-permanent but can be removed and updated if need.
  • Interchangeable magnetic paper layovers, when using steel bezels you can use these layovers which can be changed to suit different brands or promotions.

We can provide you with a blank template to place your branding or custom artwork on; alternatively our design team can create this for you at a small additional cost. Contact our sales team for more information.

**Counter top is where the enclosure is mounted on a plate which is not bolted down and therefore easily moved.

All our tablet enclosures and iPad kiosks are created with security in mind. We rate the security of our tablet enclosures on a scale of 1 to 3.

1 is tamper proof, suitable for use within offices or low traffic areas.

2 is fully secure, suitable for heavy traffic areas

3 is rugged secure, we created several ranges for use in environments which need to stand up to theft and vandalism.

Should you require advice as to which security you may need, please speak to a member of our team who would be happy to advise!

All our enclosures are VESA compatible as standard apart from the Slimline range and Shell range. If you require a Slimline enclosure or Shell enclosure to be VESA compatible, we can adjust the enclosure to include a small plate at the back, but this will change the way the Slimline mounts to the wall.

As standard, we do not supply the tablets and devices. We have partnerships with some OEM manufacturers and distributors, and can aid in the process of selecting the right make and model to suit your needs. For more information regarding turn key solutions and tablet/device requirements please talk to a member of our sales team.

All our enclosures have cable management to allow for tablets to be charged continuously when in use, however sometimes the environment in which your enclosure is housed won’t allow for this. Therefore we recommend portable chargers for instances when continuous charging isn’t available and the tablet needs to be used for more than the tablet battery life.

For more information on portable charging click here.

All imageHOLDERS tablet enclosures come with cable management built-in, which feeds the cable safely and securely through the kiosk.

You can order online, over the telephone or by email.

When ordering online and once you’ve chosen your enclosure, select your requirements using the product configuration options at the bottom of the product page. If your specification requires a standard unit, the process will then take you onto the checkout process.

Once submitted, our sales team will receive a message and contact you within 24hours to clarify the specifications and provide you a realistic lead time.

Our enclosures can be fitted in both portrait or landscape. Tablet enclosures fitted with rotation functionality are able to be turned by the customer to view in horizontal or landscape unless set up other wise.

No. However, should this be something you require, we can work with you to create an enclosure to specification. The lead time and cost of such a custom project may be substantial due to the IP specifications and required safety measures the enclosure must pass before being declared waterproof.

We don’t have a minimum order quantity for our standard enclosures or for branding. There may be minimum order quantities on tailorable and custom enclosures depending on your requirements, but we are more than happy to discuss these with you on a case by case basis.

We offer quantity discounts depending on the enclosure type and specifications. For more information talk to one of our sales advisors.

Troubleshooting

If you’re having difficulty assembling your enclosure, talk to our Technical Support team by calling +44 (0) 1202 892863, where they will happily talk through the assembly with you, or provide you with the relevant instructions via PDF or video.

To see how long your enclosure or kiosk will take to assemble, please see the spec sheet provided on the product page as each kiosk varies in time.

Our units are partially pre-assembled to make the final assembly and installation as easy as possible. However if you require a completely assembled unit to be delivered, we can provide this service. Contact your account manager or email sales@imageholders.com. We can even fit the tablet for you if you require!

Depending on the unit and the location of the installation you may need additional tools, these tools are listed on the product spec sheet available on the product page, but your account manager will be happy to advise you on the necessary requirements before the enclosure arrives should you require.  Contact your account manager or sales@imageholders.com for more information.

We record the key numbers that are associated with each purchase, and can match the key number we have with the one you receive. If you have not kept track of your key numbers, there are other options.
