Making Debt Management Advice Available to All: Citizens Advice Rotherham Partners with ImageHOLDERS for Digital Inclusion
Accessing debt advice shouldn’t depend on owning a smartphone or having Wi-Fi at home. That’s why Citizens Advice Rotherham and District has teamed up with ImageHOLDERS to roll out self-service kiosks in local GP surgeries — making confidential, expert support available to all.
These easy-to-use kiosks are designed for those facing digital exclusion, offering private access to debt resources and appointments in trusted community spaces. This is more than a tech upgrade — it’s a step toward true digital inclusion.

Making Debt Management Advice Available to All: Citizens Advice Rotherham Partners with ImageHOLDERS for Digital Inclusion
Access to debt advice is a vital lifeline for many — but for those without reliable internet access or digital devices, that support can be out of reach. That’s why Citizens Advice Rotherham and District is proud to partner with ImageHOLDERS to launch a new wave of self-service kiosks, designed to deliver debt management support for all, starting with GP surgeries in the Rotherham district.
The innovative kiosks are a game-changer in providing confidential, accessible debt advice to people where they are. Whether individuals face barriers due to digital poverty, privacy concerns, or simply don’t know where to start, these kiosks will offer a dignified and straightforward way to get help — beginning with three GP surgery installations in the South Yorkshire, England.
Supporting People Where They Are
GP surgeries are trusted community spaces, often visited by those in vulnerable or transitional life stages. By placing the debt self-service kiosks in these familiar settings, we ensure people can access critical support during everyday routines – without needing access to a smartphone, tablet or broadband at home.
With intuitive touchscreen technology, each kiosk allows users to:
- Access up-to-date debt advice and resources
- Privately explore information at their own pace
- Book appointments with Citizens Advice debt advisors for further personalised support
This model empowers users to take that first step towards managing debt, without judgment or logistical barriers.
A Commitment to Digital Inclusion
This partnership is about more than convenience — it’s about closing the digital divide. In an era where more and more essential services are moving online, it’s critical that everyone — regardless of age, income or ability — can participate.
Together, Citizens Advice Rotherham and District and ImageHOLDERS are ensuring that debt advice is not a privilege, but a right. The kiosks’ secure, user-friendly interface has been carefully designed to support those who may lack digital confidence. The system is also built to respect privacy and offer users the chance to seek further help when they’re ready.
Looking Ahead
This initial rollout in Rotherham is just the beginning. With growing demand for accessible debt support, the goal is to expand the kiosk network nationally, placing digital help points in other community-focused locations such as libraries, town halls, and pharmacies.
“We believe that no one should be left behind because they don’t have a device or an internet connection,” said Rob Hitchmough, Debt Service Manager, Citizens Advice Rotherham and District. “These kiosks bring our support right into the community and right into people’s reach. Meaning no one has to face any issue alone.”
“ImageHOLDERS is proud to be part of this transformative journey,” added [Freya Storey Marketing Manager], ImageHOLDERS. “We design self-service technology with inclusion in mind, and this partnership is a perfect example of how design can drive real-world impact.”
