Information and Process Coordinator

We require an Information and Process Co-ordinator who has an eye for detail and is a  commercially-aware problem solver to work within our flat, delivery focused management structure to improve our processes and support all administrative elements of the product design process. The post manages the work and information flow between the design team and buyers and is responsible for data management between systems.

The successful candidate would be accountable for managing and improving configuration control and design revision processes within the company to deliver an accurate and up-to-date product and part database.

The overall objective is to deliver good information management and efficiencies to the design and production teams by centralising and standardising all design administration.

  • Maintain and improve data control in and out of the company including change and revision control
  • Research and source component parts and negotiate with suppliers
  • Ensure Product Management Plans are kept up to date
  • Work with designers to automate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and their fulfilment
  • Streamline and standardise the design to manufacture process
  • Continually improve communication between sales, design and procurement through improved IT and process management
    • Work with the designers to understand new products and modifications and variants.
    • Create BOMs and ensure that all components within the BOM have sufficient information for manufacture. This may include 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, assembly instructions, photos and hand drawn sketches
    • Capture work instructions to enable repeat manufacture with minimal additional input
    • Continuously deliver practical efficiencies to ensure orders are delivered on time.
  • Key Supplier Management
    • Build relationships with suppliers and ensure good communications
    • Be the first point of contact for product and component data and supplier quotes
    • Work alongside procurement to ensure that correct data are always available
    • Maintain, improve and automate part numbering system
  • Document / Data control
    • Record data and drawings in and out of the company
    • Manage information to suppliers to ensure the correct revision data are always used
    • Record and manage change and control revisions
  • Maintain and organise sample and prototype inventory

Required:

  • Good understanding of general IT systems and how they support data management
  • Self-motivated,  proactive, completer-finisher with experience of removing non-value adding steps in processes
  • Good understanding of engineering of products, drawings and manufacturing processes  
  • Flexible approach to work with the overarching goal to reduce cost, timescales and admin
  • Experience in challenging existing procedure confidently and objectively

Desired:

  • Familiarity with Google drive
  • Solidworks CAD user
  • Familiarity with Sage 200
  • Solidworks PDM user

Junior Assembly Technician

The main responsibilities of this role are in the effective and efficient undertaking of daily production duties with an emphasis on producing imageHOLDERS orders and maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment. You will be expected to work collaboratively and follow and improve company processes.

Responsibilities

Production

  • Develop a detailed understanding of the product range
  • Understand the drawings, descriptions and terminology used
  • Learn to use all of the machinery, jigs and tools safely and effectively
  • Use the company’s IT systems including email, production files, Solidworks, PDMWorks and MRP
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment
  • Liaise with courier companies and understand the various dispatch procedures
  • Be available for travel to assist with off site exhibitions and installations
  • Manage stock quantities, locations and quality
  • Report any problems or issues back to the Production Manager
  • Be able to follow drawings and detailed assembly instructions
  • Look at problems with an innovative forward thinking problem solving mindset
  • Work to quality constant improvement standard.

Order Processing

In time you will be expected to be able to manage imageHOLDER’s works orders and prototyping orders from start to completion.

  • Printing orders and drawings
  • Complete picking lists and cutting lists
  • Process all standard manufacturing operations
  • Complete quality control checks on all components and assemblies produced
  • Create and complete packaging
  • Correctly create labels
  • Obtain quotes for shipping of goods.
  • Complete shipping of goods.
  • Dispatch goods where necessary.
  • Complete first article quality control report.

Stock Management

  • Maintain stock in the correct locations and quantities
  • Raise purchase orders for stock, fixings etc for approval by production manager
  • Contact suppliers for quotes, lead-times and specifications
  • Carry out stock checks

Other Duties

  • From time to time all staff will be required to carry out tasks not detailed within their role.
  • Your role will develop over time and your job may change and develop as the company changes and as is required. Full training will be given in all areas and a training and competency matrix will be used to track your progress.
